Week 65

Dear Family and Friends,

Well, once again I forgot to send an email last week. That was my bad.

This area here in Pasco is the best. I love this place so much. The members here are amazing.  There are also a lot of good people here. We have been teaching some fun people. We're teaching this 10 year old girl in a part member family named Izy. She's awesome. She committed right away to read the Book of Mormon every night. We also met this awesome member family named the Bassetts. They're the best.

The apartment I am living in now is one of the best I've been to. My favorite part of it is the exercise facility. Elder Grasteit and I have been able to work out every morning and night.

Anyway, I hope to have more info and details next week on how our area in Pasco is progressing. I am typing on my phone, so it is a bit challenging.

Thank you for the prayers and support. The Gospel is true.

Week 64

Elder Rexinger is getting a bit lax on his letters. I have told him to repent!! The change in the communication policy for missionaries has been an adjustment and a blessing for the most part. It is fun to speak with Dallin and get more direct info and updates, however, letter writing has become less of a priority.

Thank you to everyone and for their prayers and support for Dallin and all of our missionaries. His back is apparently healed and he doesn't complain of any more leg pain or symptoms. Hopefully, he will manage his activities and keep it that way.

Week 63

Hello Friends,

I had a total blast this week. My mission has been awesome! I've had a lot of setbacks to be sure, but it's all on how we view our challenges. Is this challenge to be a stumbling block, or is it to be a stepping stone? "Adversity, if handled correctly, can be a blessing in our lives. We can learn to love it."-Joseph B. Wirthlin.

With that in mind, I would encourage all of you to think of past trials and challenges you each have personally experienced and think of what you learned from these hardships. Our lives are the culmination of our experiences, good or bad. When looked at with an eternal perspective, all of our experiences can be for our benefit. It all depends on how we look at the situation.

That being said, I have a bulging disc in my back. I had an MRI last Tuesday, and it was confirmed that a disc is bulging and has been affecting a nerve that extends into my left leg, my L5 vertebrae to be specific. That's the negative side of things (if you want to look at it as negative.)

The super bright side of things is that I'm going back into the real world of missionary work! I've met some amazing people that I will never forget throughout the entirety of my life. I actually ran into a couple from West Richland today. It was awesome to see them again. I love serving these people. I wouldn't trade my mission for anything.

We've been doing a lot of walking this week with us getting our car was transferred to the Sisters (again.) Our record at this point is 11.09 miles on Saturday. I feel healthier than I have for a long time. I haven't been in a walking area since West Richland actually. It’s both good for my health, but bad for my shoes.

Transfers are April 10th, so next week you'll all get the info on where I'm going.

Thank you for the prayers and support. The Gospel is true. I hope everyone had a good Conference weekend.
