Week 24

Hello Family and Friends,

What is happening? You can tell me what's going on with you whenever you want, but I only have an hour and a half on Mondays.

We have been tearing our area up this past week. This week we had a competition with the Sisters in 1st ward about who could get the most on dates from Wednesday to Sunday night. The results are in.....We got 6 people on date for baptism. Tanya, Jeremy, Amanda, Jesus, Michele, and Kyle. The funny thing is I don't know Jesus and Michele. We had a Zone Blitz during the week and it was Elder Christiansen, Elder Miles (my former Zone Leader) and Elder Anderson (my current Zone Leader) in my area of Walla Walla 3rd Ward. I was in the College Place Ward with Elder Judd who has been out a transfer after me. I was finally the Senior Companion for once! It was only for a couple hours though. Anyway, now the sisters owe us cookie dough. It's crazy to think I hit my 6 month mark really soon. This whole mission thing has to slow down a lot. I feel like I just started in the MTC. I keep being told it gets faster.

I guess it's true what people say, if you love what you do, you won't work a day in your life. You get used to people yelling at you in their cars as they drive by, and with people looking at you like you're lesser people because you have a name tag on. You can deal with all those things and more if you're grounded on the Rock of our Redeemer as it says in Helaman 5:12, "And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."

I will let everyone know how our investigators are doing asap. Pray for them as they make commitments to accept the Gospel and be baptized.

Thanks as always for the prayers and support. The Gospel is true.
