The long awaited day has arrived, transfer calls have come in and I am.............staying here in Walla Walla 3rd Ward. At the same time, I'm receiving a new companion named Elder Havea. Elder Christiansen is being sent to the Hermiston Ward in the Hermiston Zone. He is no longer a District Leader (he's been a DL for like 7 months). I hear good things about Elder Havea, like he's super nice and all that.
There has been some very good developments for someone getting baptized. We talked to a woman named Sherry. We had talked to Sherry at the beginning of the transfer, and she had some awesome potential. We found out she lived in the Zone Leaders area. We were so devastated. She was so awesome and we had to refer her to them. She's been babysitting for her daughters kids a lot and her daughter lives in our area. We ran into her again yesterday and had a super spiritual lesson. We put her on date for baptism and she's super solid on it, September 8th. We offered her a blessing and that's gonna be happening tomorrow, Tuesday. We invited her to church and she asked if she could bring her grandson, and we were like "Oh heck yeah there's even this thing called Primary that's just for kids 3-12 years old" and she was like "dang that's awesome" Paraphrased of course.
Our other on dates have all practically dropped us and that made us super sad. The Lord prepares people for us to meet and teach though. A scripture that just came to my mind that's awesome, Moroni 10:23 "And Christ truly said unto our fathers: If ye have faith ye can do all things which are expedient unto me." I would like to focus on the word "All" in the scripture. With God and Jesus Christ, we truly can do all things. Peter and John healed a crippled man from birth at the gates of the temple in Jerusalem. Jesus calmed the sea and wind by commanding it "Peace, be still." By acting upon His name, we can truly do all things in accordance with His will.
Thank you for the support and prayers. The Gospel is true.
